To'ni Wheeler
My name is To'Ni Wheeler, and I am the Founder and Executive Director of One By One Mentoring. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science is Sociology from Langston University in 2018. I have my certification is Business Supervision and Marketing and Youth Mental Health First Aid Training. Working with youth over the past 10 years, has been an amazing experience and I look forward to shaping the minds of the next generation of leaders.
One By One Mentoring
After finishing undergrad, To'ni had an idea to start a nonprofit that would cater to mentoring youth and young adults. She came up with One By One Mentoring inspired by the belief that all it takes is for one person to make a difference, rather big or small, and that one by one she could make an impact on the next person.
To'ni shares a love for education, children, and community service, so she wanted to find likeminded people to help jump start OBO. A few months later, she organized a few community events and began to get noticed by others who were interested in helping and joining One By One Mentoring. Over the years, To'Ni would always gave back to her community and volunteered a numerous schools and daycare centers, where she built relationships with parents, who entrusted in her to mentor the children when she started One By One Mentoring.
Overall, the goal of One By One Mentoring is to shape those around us and build leaders of the future, but most importantly we want to give our mentees and member a place of belongings and make sure they are feeling heard, seen, and loved. One By One Mentoring is more than an organization, we are a family!
